New 'Buy American' provision added to defense policy bill

The House Armed Services Committee added a “Buy American” amendment to the fiscal year 2022 National Defense Authorization Act that was approved by the panel on Thursday that would require the Pentagon to begin procuring more materials for major defense acquisition programs from domestic sources.
