Judiciary Committee approves Biden’s Court of International Trade picks

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved the nominations of trade lawyers Lisa Wang and Joseph Laroski to serve as judges on the U.S. Court of International Trade, setting them up for full Senate votes. Wang, who has served as assistant secretary for enforcement and compliance in the Commerce Department since 2022, was approved 12-9; Laroski, a partner at Schagrin Associates since 2021, was advanced 18-3.
