Japan, EU request third-party status in U.S.-China NME fight at WTO

After China updated its initial request, Japan and the European Union have asked to join consultations between the U.S. and China at the World Trade Organization over the United States' continued treatment of China as a non-market economy in antidumping proceedings. Japan said it made the request due to the potential for the dispute to impact its own substantial trade with China.
