Guajardo: T-MEC will be the Spanish name for USMCA

The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement will be called el Tratado entre México, Estados Unidos y Canadá, or T-MEC, in Mexico. Mexican Economy Secretary Ildefonso Guajardo announced on Wednesday that the name was picked “after consulting with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and incoming president Andrés Manuel López Obrador and in consideration of the best forms the Spanish language,” according to a press release .
