First U.S. potatoes exported to Mexico after longstanding trade row
The U.S. on Wednesday exported the first batch of fresh potatoes to Mexico in many years, the Agriculture Department announced, touting a resolution of a 25-year-long trade dispute over access to the Mexican market. “Expanded market access for U.S. fresh potatoes to Mexico has been a top priority from day one and I'm thrilled that we have finally resolved this issue!” U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai tweeted on Friday .
