Eyes on Asia: Canada welcomes Ukraine’s CPTPP bid
Canada has embraced Ukraine’s hope to join the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership, the country’s trade minister said on Friday. Following a meeting of CPTPP country ministers in Detroit, hosted by New Zealand, Canadian Minister for International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development Mary Ng noted on Twitter that the United Kingdom’s bid was recently accepted and said Canada welcomed Ukraine’s interest in joining.
