EU official: U.S. must better align with Europe on China policy
The European Union is at risk of “collateral damage” from an escalating U.S.-China competition, the bloc’s top foreign affairs official warned this week, calling the U.S. and the EU strong allies but lamenting that their approaches toward Beijing are “not aligned.” The U.S.-China competition will be “the most important factor of international relations in the next decades,” said Josep Borrell, the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, during a May 13 speech at Stanford University's Hoover Institution...
