CBP cracks down on Chinese antidumping duty evasion

Customs and Border Patrol this week made 10 decisions in antidumping duty evasion cases concerning China, making use of the Enforce and Protect Act to find that companies have been transshipping Chinese wire hangers and furniture through third countries before sending those products to the U.S. On Aug. 14, CBP issued its final determination that an importer, Eastern Trader, had imported hangers transshipped from China through Thailand to dodge antidumping duties.
