Blumenauer: De minimis reform could be a ‘signature achievement’

House Ways & Means trade subcommittee ranking member Earl Blumenauer (D-OR) has 51 weeks left in office – he’s counting – and while many of those could be dogged by the hyper-partisanship of electioneering, he remains optimistic he can continue to make progress on trade priorities, particularly de minimis reform. “We can work this stuff out,” Blumenauer said in an interview on Wednesday in his House office. “I'm hopeful that the de minimis will be kind of a signature achievement...
