Costa Rica confirms USMCA bid; U.S. hasn't discussed with Canada or Mexico

Costa Rica on Wednesday approached U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement members to convey its interest in joining the pact, the Costa Rican embassy said, confirming earlier reports. Costa Rica told USMCA parties of “its interest to begin exploratory talks” about joining the agreement, an embassy official said in an email.
