USTR targets China 2025 products in Section 301 tariff recommendations

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative has recommended that a 25 percent duty covering 1,300 tariff lines be applied to about $50 billion worth of Chinese goods it says benefit from Beijing’s “Made in China 2025” industrial policy after analyzing how China’s technology transfer and intellectual property policies have affected the U.S. economy.
