ZOELLICK FLOATS LAME-DUCK CAFTA VOTE, LEVIN SEEKS LABOR REPORT

U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoellick this week suggested that a lame duck congressional session after this November's elections could be convened to approve the U.S.-Central American Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) this year. He said the Bush Administration's delay in seeking congressional approval of the CAFTA was caused by election year politics and obstruction tactics from congressional Democrats.
