Lighthizer: Work on new FTAs begins this week; TISA decision soon

The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative will begin consulting with Congress and the administration on new free trade agreements this week and will soon begin to consider in earnest its stance on the dormant Trade in Services Agreement, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer told the Senate Finance Committee on March 22. Lighthizer also reiterated that his team was "seriously" looking into a FTA with a country in Africa as well, adding that any new FTA would be negotiated quickly...
