The Ways and Means Committee this week easily approved a draft version of a bill to implement the U.S.-Morocco Free Trade Agreement at a July 14 mock markup, but that easy approval was coupled with a warning that the Bush Administration needs to clarify whether a pharmaceutical provision in the deal would impede Morocco's ability to issue cheaper, generic medicines in times of health emergencies.
