WTO members largely back ban on distant water fishing subsides in talks

World Trade Organization members are largely supportive of a prohibition on subsidies for distant water fishing as part of their effort to curb fisheries subsidies, but at least one large member is against the provisions and some developing countries called for additional special and differential treatment provisions.
