Vietnam bank economist, analysts question U.S. currency probe
The U.S. is relying on incomplete information in its analysis of Vietnam’s currency practices, according to the chief economist of the state-owned Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam. The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative on Oct. 2 launched an investigation into Vietnam’s currency practices under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974.
