U.S. official: China blocked acting DG compromise at WTO

The U.S. backed a compromise that would have rotated the acting director-general job at the World Trade Organization between deputies from the U.S. and European Union, but China did not accept the plan, a U.S. official familiar with the talks told Inside U.S. Trade on Friday.
