U.S. Official: Australian, Canadian Sugar Access Hinges On Broader TPP Deal

SANTA ANA PUEBLO, N.M. -- A U.S. trade official here Monday (Aug. 3) said that whether Australia or Canada get any new access to the U.S. sugar market under the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) will depend on the "balance" of the overall deal, while a U.S. industry representative said it is near certain that Australia will get some level of new access.
