Trump paves way for de minimis elimination, ends benefit for China
Imports will no longer benefit from de minimis treatment once the Commerce Department deems that the U.S. is prepared to collect tariffs on goods that have been entering the U.S. duty-free, according to the executive order President Trump signed on Wednesday imposing reciprocal tariffs.
