Trump to modify safeguard measures on imports of washing machines

Beginning in February, President Trump will tighten a Section 201 quota on imports of large residential washing machines, according to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer. The move comes after the U.S. International Trade Commission last August completed its mid-term evaluation of the tariff-rate quotas imposed by the Trump administration in February 2018.
