Trump: Canadian steel and aluminum will face 50 percent tariffs

In response to Ontario’s surcharge on electricity exports to the U.S., Canadian steel and aluminum imports will be hit with 50 percent tariffs instead of the 25 percent duties the U.S. is set to impose on all other trading partners, President Trump announced Tuesday.
