Toomey to introduce new Section 232 legislation as soon as next week

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA) is preparing to pitch new legislation that would compel the president to obtain congressional approval and greater Pentagon input before imposing national security-based trade restrictions. A spokesman from Toomey's office confirmed to Inside U.S. Trade that the senator is planning to introduce a bill akin to one put forward last June by Toomey and Sens.
