Tai, Ng tout U.S.-Canada alignment on EVs, ‘non-market’ concerns
U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai and Canadian Trade Minister Mary Ng are touting a unified approach to countering China as Canada prepares to impose tariffs on Chinese-made electric vehicles, steel and aluminum. Ng traveled to Washington to meet with Tai a few days after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the measures, set to take effect in October.
