Swiss president: U.S. officials agreed to accelerate trade talks
Switzerland and the U.S. have agreed to accelerate trade talks, the Swiss president said on Friday following a meeting with senior Trump administration officials in Geneva. Ahead of talks with their Chinese counterparts set to begin on Saturday, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer met with Swiss President Karin Keller-Sutter, also the country’s finance minister, and Economy Minister Guy Parmelin, to discuss so-called “reciprocal” U.S. tariffs imposed by President Trump and later suspended for 90 days...
