New study disputes Indian arguments against WTO e-commerce moratorium

Four countries, three of which are openly opposed to renewing the World Trade Organization moratorium on duties on electronic transmissions, would lose more in gross domestic product than they would gain in tariffs if the moratorium were lifted, according to a new study. The study , published by the European Centre for International Political Economy, a Brussels-based think tank, argues that countries have more to gain under the moratorium than they are losing in potential revenue.
