Japan approves beef safeguard mechanism agreement with the U.S.

The Japanese Diet this week formally approved its agreement with the U.S. to grant higher safeguard trigger levels for beef imports, allowing the U.S. access akin to countries in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership.
