India vows to keep ag subsidy schemes despite U.S. claims of WTO violations
India this week pledged to maintain its agricultural domestic support systems despite U.S. allegations that they violate World Trade Organization rules. During a June 11-12 WTO Agriculture Committee meeting, the U.S. formally submitted a counter-notification of India’s farm subsidies.
