Global tech groups raise concern over draft Chinese data security law
Technology groups from around the world are cautioning the Chinese government that proposed data transfer security measures could undermine the critical role those transfers play in the global value chain. More than 25 business groups on Wednesday sent a letter to the data governance division of China’s Cyberspace Administration raising concern over provisions in the draft “Data Transfer Assessment Measures” published in late October.
