EU official: Trade and Tech Council meeting to be held as planned
The European Commission on Thursday confirmed that the first U.S.-European Union Trade and Technology Council meeting will take place as planned in Pittsburgh on Sept. 29, ending speculation over whether EU officials would decline to attend due to controversy over a security deal the U.S. struck with Australia and the United Kingdom.
