Ernst: Lighthizer said he was in favor of a NAFTA withdrawal; USTR’s office demurs

Joni Ernst (R-IA) said on Monday that U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer last month told a group of senators and the president that he was in favor of withdrawing from the North American Free Trade Agreement, but Lighthizer's office disputes that account.
