Commerce proposes ban on Chinese, Russian vehicle technology
The Commerce Department on Monday proposed a ban on “connected” vehicle imports that contain software and hardware from China and Russia, contending that their ability to collect sensitive data poses an undue national security risk. In February, the department launched a probe of national security threats within the connected vehicle supply chain.
