Citing a record-high caseload, Commerce punts AD/CVD deadlines
The Commerce Department this week announced it was extending deadlines in a slew of antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings as it grapples with an “unprecedented” number of petitions. In a Dec. 9 memo filed to Commerce’s trade remedy case docket, the department’s International Trade Administration revealed that in fiscal year 2024 it received 117 petitions requesting antidumping or countervailing duty probes, topping an “all-time high number” of petitions filed for such cases in fiscal year 2020.
