CIT denies Canadian solar companies’ plea to suspend safeguard measures

The U.S. Court of International Trade this week denied a request by three Canadian solar panel producers for a temporary restraining order that would have suspended safeguard measures the U.S. imposed on all countries in January. On March 5, CIT Chief Judge Timothy Stanceu ruled that the solar companies -- Silfab Solar, Inc., Heliene, Inc., and Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. -- would not succeed in asserting that President Trump illegally authorized steep duties over a four-year period without a remedy...
