China hikes tariffs again, says market no longer wants U.S. goods
Beijing on Friday announced what it said would be its last tariff hike on U.S. goods, raising a blanket rate for all imports from the U.S. to 125 percent to effectively block U.S. products from the Chinese market, according to the State Council’s Customs Tariff Commission. The move could put an end to tit-for-tat tariff escalations that began when President Trump announced a 34 percent tariff on Chinese goods last week as part of a new tariff regime . China...
