Ag groups urge administration to continue funding for ‘critical’ WTO
The World Trade Organization is “critical” for the U.S. agricultural economy and the Trump administration should continue to fund it, more than 30 major agricultural groups are arguing as U.S. contributions to the organization are withheld amid a State Department funding review. In a June 16 letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, 34 agricultural groups insist that the WTO is key to ensuring “predictable access to the global marketplace.”...
