AAPC head lauds temporary ‘duty deferral’ for auto companies once USMCA takes effect

Customs and Border Protection’s U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement implementing instructions, updated on Tuesday, say auto companies have until the end of the year to show they are complying with the deal’s rules of origin -- a deadline extension American Automotive Policy Council President Matt Blunt said was crucial for the industry.
