Chamber report: trade barriers holding up billions in U.S.-China ag trade opportunities
The already substantial agricultural trade relationship between the U.S. and China could be significantly improved through the elimination of trade barriers, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce says in a new report. The report on two-way trade in agricultural products -- as well as fish and seafood, forest products and farm machinery -- says the countries did $35.6 billion worth of business in 2015, with “cumulative gains over the 2016-2025 baseline period forecast at $71.2 billion.” However, the report states, “additional...
