Brady Edges Out Tiberi To Lead Ways & Means; Rice Takes Ryan's Spot

The House Republican Steering Committee on Wednesday (Nov. 4) voted to make Rep. Kevin Brady (R-TX) the new chairman of the Ways & Mean Committee, roughly a year after he failed to grab that spot in a contest with now Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI). Brady's selection will be ratified by the full House Republican Conference during a meeting on Thursday morning, after which he will formally become Ways & Means chairman.
