Hatch, Wyden Float Currency Amendment As Alternative To Portman Text

Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin Hatch (R-UT) and Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-OR) on May 20 filed an administration-backed currency amendment aimed at undercutting the support for a pending amendment by Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH) and Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) that would require future trade agreements to have enforceable rules against currency manipulation subject to dispute settlement.
