U.S., Brazil Framework Offers General Commitments On Cotton Subsidies
The U.S.-Brazil framework reached last week to stave off Brazilian retaliation against U.S. goods in the World Trade Organization cotton case makes no explicit commitments regarding future cuts in cotton subsidies, but it is likely that Brazil will seek substantial reductions in the 2012 farm bill.
