House-Passed Bill Would Halt Payments To Brazil Under Cotton Deal

The House yesterday (June 16) approved by a 217-203 vote a spending bill for the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and other agencies that included an amendment restricting USDA from making monthly payments to support Brazilian cotton growers as part of a deal to fend off retaliation in a trade dispute.
