White House Explores Export Financing Options, But Faces Obstacles

The Obama administration is exploring new ways to provide export financing that will enable U.S. companies to compete on an even footing with foreign firms backed by subsidized financing from China and other emerging nations, and may be ready to move forward on this front in the coming weeks, a senior administration official signaled in an interview.
