WTO Panel Faults China Over GOES Implementation After China Lifts Duties

A World Trade Organization compliance panel late last week largely upheld U.S. claims in a fight with China over 2013 trade remedy duties imposed on U.S. exports of grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES). It faulted China for failure to provide sufficient evidence that GOES imports from the U.S. forced down prices for this steel in China and to show that U.S. exports caused injury to the domestic Chinese industry.
