TPP Opens Procurement Of New Canadian Entities, Services To U.S. Bidders

In the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Canada has increased the level of government procurement open to U.S. companies compared to the revised Government Procurement Agreement (GPA) by expanding its coverage of central government entities, federally owned "Crown corporations," and services sectors. Specifically, Canada has agreed to apply the TPP's non-discrimination obligation and procedural rules to 22 central government agencies, 12 Crown corporations and 22 services categories that are not covered under the revised GPA.
