AFL-CIO, Change To Win Unions Show United Front In Opposition To Fast-Track Legislation
Sixty-four unions belonging to the AFL-CIO and Change To Win federations this week displayed an unprecedented unanimity of opposition to fast-track negotiating authority in a joint letter sent to Congress as the leaders of almost 20 million U.S. workers and their families. “If you stand for higher wages, more jobs, and greater opportunities for America’s hardworking families, you must oppose fast-track,” according to the March 2 letter sent to all members of Congress.
